In a District 10-1A heavyweight bout, visiting Santa Fe had Richland on the ropes Wednesday night, then Carter Edwards took over.

The Richland sophomore guard rallied his team from an 11- point second-quarter deficit, scoring five points in the final 12.5 seconds of the half, and 10 in the third period, as the Raiders completed a regular-season sweep of Santa Fe, 61-47.

Edwards capped off the night with 35 points to lead all scorers.

 

The Lady Raiders rolled In the early game, the Richland 16-5, girls led 16-2 after the opening period and never slowed down in an eventual 69-18 victory.

Shelby Higgins scored a game-high 14 points.
