The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team opened the season with a 74-70 win over Point Thursday.

Four Firehawks scored in double figures, Kavion Hancock led the offensive with 22 points, Adarion Hudson tossed-in 17 points, Brady Brown and Kendall Wright both added 10.

Next up The Firehawks will travel to Thomasville, Ga. to take on the Nighthawks of Tomas University Friday, November 4th. The tip-off is set for 4 pm.
