In an update to an earlier story…

A Tennessee man is dead following a crash on Interstate 57 in Illinois.

According to the report from Illinois State Police, the single-vehicle crash occurred at at I-57’s milepost 1 near Cairo.

Dennis L. Davidson, 67, of Columbia, Tennessee, was driving a 2023 Freightliner truck-tractor semi-trailer combination.

State police said preliminary investigative details indicate Davidson was traveling northbound on the interstate. Negotiating the curve on the Exit 1 ramp, he lost control and left the roadway to the left, overturning the semi onto the driver’s side, Davidson was pronounced dead on the scene.
