The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is currently recruiting candidates. The THP is committed to attracting new Tennessee State Troopers, recruiting the best of the best to become the next generation of state troopers is a top priority for our agency.

Currently, the THP is seeking applicants from all walks of life, including current Tennessee-certified Peace Officer Standards and Trained (P.O.S.T.) law enforcement professionals.

We are also very active in recruiting troopers and state police officers from other states. Depending on the level of experience and certified training an individual has will determine the time the applicant will need to attend the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Training Center.
