The Friends of David Crockett State Park are a 501c3 nonprofit organization who support the park.  Their support has built our bird of prey aviaries, promoted and presented special events and programs, provided support functions for trail building, projects and many more activities throughout the years.  This year is the 8th annual Glow in the Park 5K and Back to School Dash, which has become a popular event and major funding source for projects.  

Who wouldn't want the run in the park after dark?!?!  Especially shining in your glow wear best!  Participants will each receive a glow item, a t-shirt, and swag bag for the Glow in the Park 5K.  The course is an out and back all on paved road, and begins and ends in the restaurant parking lot.  Prizes are awarded for overall top male and female and top in selected age groups.  

The Back To School Dash has become a favorite event!  Kids under 15 may register for free and for participating in a mile fun run receive school supplies to get their year started right!  

Registration for the event is through the link, sign up early before the price increases!!!!  Packet pick up and day of registration starts at 6:30 PM on August 6th.
