The city’s annual large trash pickup was set during the March meeting of the Ardmore Board of Mayor and Alderman.
The board agreed the pickup will be March 23rd through March 28th.
A volunteer group to help improve and beautify parts of Ardmore in Tennessee and Alabama was introduced at the Board meeting.
President of the Ardmore Community Team Mason Daniel said the team will serve the entire Ardmore community.
“We want to spruce up the city on both sides of the line,” Daniel said.
A public meeting is planned April 7th to receive ideas for projects.
There will be no paid employees, he said.
During the meeting board members received a monthly financial report for February, which showed the city had $123,221 in revenue. The three largest contributors were local sales taxes, $56,278; property taxes, $15,446 and local beer taxes, $12,947.
