Due to the coronavirus pandemic the Giles County Senior Citizen Center will close for 2 weeks.

The Pulaski Recreation has announced closing of indoor court play until further notice.

Tennessee College of Applied Technology of Pulaski main campus remains open and students are on extended spring break from classes until March 23rd.

Faculty members are preparing to move some course components online or planning alternate delivery methods.

However, as a technical college, this is not practical for all courses or programs. Additionally, many of the students do not have internet access to continue their studies through online education. Therefore, TCAT is considering other methods of education

 

The First United Methodist Church of Pulaski has cancelled all services for the next two weeks. They will broadcast their service on Sunday at 10:30 AM here on Classic KSR

The Gospel Music Association Singing Convention originally scheduled for 3/21 at 6:00 PM at Wales Baptist Church has been cancelled. They are planning to reschedule at a later time.

The Lunch and Learn Event with General surgeon Dr. Bernie Burgess and plastic surgeon Dr. Nathan Brought, originally scheduled for March 17th hosted by Southern TN Regional health System has been postponed. A new date has not yet been set. Their next Lunch and Learn at STRHS with Dr. Warren has also been cancelled.

The Scouts Luncheon at Martin Methodist College to honor the life and legacy of Colonel Hubert “Max” White has been postponed. It was originally set for Thursday March 19th. They are planning to reschedule the event but the date has not yet been set.

Pulaski Elementary School’s Spring Fling originally set for Thursday March 19th has been rescheduled for Thursday May 7th.

The Country Ham Supper at Pulaski First United Methodist Church has been cancelled. Originally scheduled for Thursday March 19th.

 

Matthew 25 Thrift Store has closed their store and are asking everyone to please hold onto their donations until the store reopens. However, their food bank WILL be open Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Law enforcement ad hoc meeting at the jail originally scheduled for Thursday at 5:00 p.m. has been cancelled.

Civitan radio Day has been postponed until May 16th.

First National Bank’s “Giles County Customer Appreciation Bean Day” has been postponed. It was originally scheduled for March 31st.

Fairview Church of Christ Gospel meeting has been cancelled.

STARR Theatre and Antoinette Hall have postponed all events due to public health concerns.
