The Giles County Board of Education has closed all schools and cancelled all extracurricular activities for March 16th through March 27th as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Schools will be back in session on Monday, March 30.

They announced, “Due to national developments and rapidly changing conditions regarding the spread of COVID-19, we feel this is the best course of action. Closing schools is never a decision we take lightly. There is nothing more important to us than our students, employees, and families. We will be constantly monitoring the situation and providing updates as they become available,”.
