The Giles County School Board recently approved the timeline and procedures for the process of receiving applications, interviews and hiring a director of schools by May.

Qualified candidates must submit a resume to the School System no later than 4 p.m. Monday.

The information should be sent to Christie Lindsey at the Giles County School System, 270 Richland Drive, Pulaski, TN 38478.

The director of schools in Giles County serves as the chief executive officer of the school system, working under the direction of the school board to supervise all public schools in the county.

Following Monday's deadline, the school board will nominate no more than three applicants to be interviewed in an open meeting during the week of April 27th.

The school board is scheduled to vote for a new director of schools on May 7th and the new director will be expected to take the position on June 1st.
