Each of Tennessee’s 95 counties experienced lower unemployment in November according to newly released data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD).

Ninety-one counties had an unemployment rate of 5 percent or lower during the month and only four counties had a rate higher than 5 percent.

In Giles County, the rate decreased from 4.3 percent in October to 3.5 percent in November.

County unemployment rates are not seasonally adjusted, while both the state and national rates use the seasonal adjustment to eliminate outside influences on the statistics.

The 10 counties with the lowest unemployment each had a rate of 2.9 percent or lower in November.

Tennessee's seasonally adjusted statewide unemployment rate for November decreased from 3.7 percent to 3.6 percent. Nationally, unemployment held steady for the third consecutive month at 3.7 percent.
