The American Red Cross is asking Giles County blood donors to “Give Something That Means Something”.

Now thru December 31st each person that presents to donate blood will have a chance to win a $1,000 American Express Gift Card.

The Red Cross provides lifesaving blood to patients in about 60 hospitals here in the Tennessee Valley Region. About 600 people are needed to give blood or platelets each week day to meet hospital demands.

The next chance to donate blood is Tuesday, December 31 at Second Street Church of Christ from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Donors can make an appointment to donate by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Downloading the Blood Donor App will allow you to schedule your appointment, complete Rapid Pass and have your donor card all in one place.
