Ardmore Town Council approved the street work to add stripes on Jones Avenue, Second, Third, and Fourth streets during a recent meeting.

Mayor Billy Shannon also gave an update to the council on the sidewalk project.

Shannon said it was 99 percent complete and the contractors will paint crosswalks and place the last three lights at the end of the sidewalk near L & S.

Councilmen agreed that Christmas holidays for employees will remain unchanged. Town employees will be off Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
