People in Giles County are showing their support for the Alsup Family who were involved in a car accident Sunday evening.

35-year-old Tommy Curt Alsup, of Minor Hill, died from injuries at North Mississippi Hospital. His wife, Angie, is recovering in a Tupelo Hospital and children are in Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

The crash happened on Mississippi 23 near Tremont, a small town near Interstate 22.

Family reported last night that both children were cleared for surgery today (Wednesday). One child will be having surgery on his arm and back and the daughter is having surgery on her jaw cheekbone and chin.

"I am so grateful for each and every one of you out there working constantly to make sure we are okay and not having to worry about anything", said the family member.

In order to help support the family, C&C Printing said they will be selling t-shirts in sizes youth medium to plus sizes. All shirts are $10 and will go on sale starting today (Wednesday) on the Pulaski square.

The City Barbershop is giving away free haircuts for a year. A $20.00 donation to enter and all proceeds will go to the Alsup family.

An Alsup Family Benefit Dinner and Auction will be held at the Giles County High School on January 11th. Items for auction will also be given away at that time and the business list includes AGO Photography, Owens Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Pulaski Citizen and Holley’s Printing, Statemint Studios, Brownlow Paint and Body Shop, The Outlook, Leslie Curtis Jewelry, Lew Lew’s, Jay Aymett, Studio Sloan, Ahead of Times and General Supply.

100 percent of all proceeds will benefit the Alsup Family.
