A woman injured during a Tuesday night fire in Lawrenceburg has died.

The victim passed away Wednesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after being injured during a fire at Pine Bluff Apartments.

Members of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department arrived within minutes of the call and were able to contain the blaze to one unit in the building.

New Prospect fire crews and Lawrence county EMS assisted at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time and cause of the fire remains under investigation by local fire investigators and the States Fire Marshall’s office.
