Officers from the Tennessee Highway will visit WKSR Bonus Hour Wednesday morning to interact with the audience about safety on the upcoming holiday season.

Charged with increasing public awareness of highway safety issues, the Special Programs Unit conducts a wide range of activities aimed at saving lives and reducing injuries on Tennessee roadways.

Knowledgeable about numerous traffic safety topics and techniques, and safety education the Lieutenants in each THP district are assigned to the Special Programs Unit to meet with schools, civic organizations, businesses, and others to improve highway safety throughout the state.

Phone lines will be open for the officers to answer calls during the 8:30 a.m. program.
