Ardmore Mayor Billy Shannon requested Christmas bonuses for town employees during the monthly Mayor and Council meeting. 

Councilman Mary Hobbs made a motion to approve the bonuses of $200.00 for full time employees and $100.00 for part time employees and the council approved.

Mayor Shannon gave an update on the sidewalk project with one day past the contract finish date.

Morell Engineering informed Shannon the town can back charge the contractor for liquidated damages in the amount of $1500.00 a day and this charge will be for every day they are over the expected completion date. This amount will come off 20 percent the town is responsible for paying.

Mayor Shannon informed the council he had spoken with the State and was told Jones Avenue belongs to the town and not the state and it is the town's responsibility to stripe and upkeep Jones Avenue.

Striping from Gatlin Road to Highway 251 will be done by the State Department and waiting on prices for striping 3rd and 4th Streets and will then receive pricing for striping Jones Avenue.

The December town council meeting date and time was rescheduled for Thursday, December 12th, at 5 p.m. due to the Christmas parade being held on the second Monday night of December.
