A Columbia man is being held in the Giles County Jail following an arrest today (Thursday) by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Thirty-Four year old Maurine Lee Baker was charged with Possession of Cocaine for Resale, Firearm used in dangerous Felony, Unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, Simple Possession for Casual Exchange and Driver's license required.

Baker is being held in lieu of $158,000.

Court date has been set for December 20th at 8 a.m.

A Lawrenceburg man was arrested Wednesday by the Giles County Sheriff's Department and booked in jail without bond.

Benjamin Patrick Calvert, 41, was charged with Violation of Probation in Circuit Court, Contraband of Penal Institution, and  Manufacture, Delivery, Sale or Possession of Meth.

Calvert is scheduled to appear in court on November 26th.
