The man accused in a 2018 vehicular homicide case has now reported to jail.

Marcus Kennedy, 43, was booked into the Lawrence County Jail Tuesday after being sentenced to seven years for his role in a deadly 2018 traffic crash.

Kennedy was driving a vehicle on Rabbit Trail Road in November 2018 that struck another vehicle driven by 82 year old Billy Reedy, senior.

Reedy was pronounced dead at the scene and Kennedy was airlifted to Nashville for further medical treatment and was subsequently arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.

Kennedy will have to serve 30 percent of his sentence as part of a plea deal reached earlier this month.
