The Public Defender office for District 22 will be on the March 3rd Republican Primary ballot as well as a judgeship held by Christoper Sockwell.

Sockwell was appointed to replace Bob Jones in the Circuit Court Judge Part III 22nd Judicial District when Jones retired.

Candidates wishing to run in the Republican Primary must declare themselves as Republican.

Qualifying petitions should be turned in by noon Dec. 12, and the withdrawal deadline is noon Dec. 17.

Primary winners will be on the August 6th County General ballot.

Otherwise, candidates will declare independent to be on the August 6th ballot.

Early voting in the primary will run from February, 12th thru 25th.

For the August 6th State Primary, County General election, the first day to pick up qualifying petitions is February 3rd.

Qualifying ends at noon April 2 with the withdrawal deadline at noon April 9th.

July 7 is the last day to register to vote in the August 6th election and early voting runs from July 17th until August 1st.
