Novus Advanced Manufacturing says it will expand its operations in the Lawrence County community of St. Joseph, creating 174 new jobs for the region in a $2 million investment.

Novus is a subsidiary of Hunt Services, which is a manufacturer of steel framing components and accessories for the construction of commercial and residential structures. The company specializes in manufacturing steel panels for the hospitality and retail center sectors.

Novus Advanced Manufacturing first began operations in Lawrence County in 2016. The facility in the City of St. Joseph, is the company’s primary base of operations.

The company touts steel framing construction as a practical solution to many limitations that builders face today when using traditional building materials.

TNECD reports that is has supported nine projects in Lawrence County, resulting in the creation of nearly 900 new jobs and approximately $48 million in capital investment since 2013.
