The Giles County Republican Party has asked the Giles County Commission to hold a county primary to be held Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Offices to be on the county primary ballot are Assessor of Property, Road Superintendent, County Commissioners, District 6 and District 7 unexpired term.

Judicial Primary are Circuit Court Judges, Part 1 and Part 2 unexpired terms. The nominees elected in the primary will be on the August 6, 2020 County General ballot.

The first day to pick up petitions for the primary is Monday, October 14th. A person must declare Republican Party if they choose to run in the primary. Otherwise the person will declare independent to be on the August 6, 2020 County General ballot.

Qualifying deadline for candidates is December 12th at noon. Withdrawal deadline is December 17th at noon.

Candidates for School Board Members districts 2,4, and 6th, Elkton City, Lynnville City and Minor Hill City elections to be held Thursday, August 6th, 2020 must qualify by Thursday, April 2nd, 2020 at noon. The first day to pick up a petition for these offices is February 3rd.
