A motorcyclist reportedly died from injuries suffered in a crash in Lawrenceburg on Friday.

James Tomlinson, 60, was found at the 3000 block of Waynesboro highway by Lawrence County emergency crews, according to Tennessee River Valley News.

Tomlinson was believed to have been struck by a vehicle that left the scene, according to a 911 call from a witness.

It was later revealed during the investigation that Tomlinson was riding a homemade motorcycle made from a bicycle.

He was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
