One fatality has been reported as a result of a single vehicle accident Sunday on I-65 southbound north of the Alabama/Tennessee state line.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol reports, Alisha Ambrose, 48, of Ardmore, was traveling southbound in a 2005 Jaguar when she drove off the left side of the road and over corrected and continued off the right shoulder striking a rock wall and deflected back across both lanes before overturning and stopping at a cable barrier.

When emergency personnel arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A commercial truck driven by Bryce Sharp of Mayfield, Kentucky hit the debris in the roadway, but was not injured.
