The Ardmore City Mayor and Alderman agreed to have the city’s annual fall large trash pickup from October  21st through 25th.

During the meeting, members accepted a $108,104 revenue report for the city during August with approximately $45,137 in revenues from local sales taxes, $18,423 from local beer taxes and $3,607 from state gas tax revenues.

A report was given to the board that work continues on the volleyball court at John Barnes Area Park and they also thanked First National Bank in Ardmore for donating land alongside the bank to the city for a right of way from Main Street to the Ardmore Annex.

A discussion to give a local police officer a reimbursement for purchasing supplies for a family in need was denied.

Mayor Mike Magnusson said he did not think the city should be responsible for taking care of people in need.

Alderman Van Manen made a motion to reimburse the officer, but later withdrew his motion.

Members also heard that State Representative Clay Doggett plans to hold a public meeting in Ardmore at 1 p.m. on October 8th.
