Scarecrows known as Tattie Bogle have made their way back to help usher in Giles County fall season.

 Tattie Bogle is the Scottish name for what is called scarecrows. A Scottish influence, it is a part of the makeup of the community.

The past few years, Tattie Bogle competition was open only to downtown merchants and businesses, but now everyone in Giles County is encouraged to create their own and join the fun for a chance to win the prize pot.

The Tattie Bogle is set for Tuesday, October 1st and public voting will be on Facebook from October 2nd through the 14th.
