The first Monday in September is the workingman's holiday dedicated to the backbone of the nation, the American worker. First celebrated in 1885, the nation again will celebrate Labor Day September 2nd.

All city government offices and departments in Pulaski, Elkton, Lynnville, Minor Hill and Ardmore will be closed

Monday's garbage will be picked up Tuesday along with the normal routes.

All offices and departments in the Giles County Courthouse and Annex, Giles County schools, Senior Citizens, Pulaski Electric System offices and all area banking institutions will be closed.
