During a work session of the Giles County School Board it was announced that Richland School was the only school in Giles County to received the recognition of Tennessee Rewards School.

Reward Schools are those that are improving overall student academic achievement and student growth for all students and for student groups.

The Reward School status is the top distinction a school can earn in Tennessee and schools are identified annually.
