Beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday  friends and co-workers will host Smiles For Sherri, a fund-raising block party and benefit auction that will take place along South Second Street behind the FNB Pulaski Main Branch and around the FNB Community Park Gazebo at the intersection of Second and West College street.

After treatment in Nashville and extensive rehabilitation in Atlanta, Sherri Erwin, a familiar face at FNB, returned home recently to face a long recovery from a car accident in May.

First National Bank is providing hamburgers and all the fixings for free and Ribs from “Big T” Terry Patterson and Babe London will be sold along with Boston Butts from Giles County Sheriff Kyle Helton.

A bake Sale will feature some of the best baked goods Giles County has to offer.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Highway 64 Band, Beth (Holt) Beech and Kim Wright and DJ Joey Turner.

At 5 p.m. the music will start at the Gazebo, food lines will open, bidding opens on Silent Auction items and Live Auction items go on display.

At 6:15 p.m. a ceremony will begin to recognize Sherri Erwin; at 6:30 p.m. the Live Auction begins; 6:45 p.m. the Silent Auction; and at 7:30 p.m. the remaining Silent Auction tables will be closed and winning bidders announced.

Anyone wishing to donate baked goods is asked to do so Thursday, Aug. 15, and Friday, Aug. 16, at the FNB Main Branch with prices on the items. Anyone bringing baked goods Saturday prior to the event will find event workers at the bank throughout the day. Anyone bringing baked goods during the event can take them to the Bake Sale table.
