Upcoming events and classes at the Giles County Library have been announced for remainder of August. 

Every Friday is Story Time that begins at 10:15 AM in the Barbara Pankey Reading Corner of The Children’s Room.

Celebrate Women’s Equality Day where the movie, Suffragette, will be shown at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 26th.

The library also hosts Beginner’s Computer Courses every other Tuesday at 8:15 a.m.

The next class will be Tuesday, August 27th.

The Ramblin’ Writers group which meets monthly at the Library has published its first book “The Wonder of Words.” The “Wonder of Words” is an anthology of Southern Thinking and Expression. Sixteen local writers, “from many walks of life: farmers, teachers, public servants, housewives, professionals, and others” have provided “a rich repository of entertainment and enlightenment.”

The Ramblin’ Writers has donated a limited quantity of books to the library. The books are available for sale for $10 with the proceeds to benefit the library.
