Contract for Acting Director of Schools Vickie Beard will be discussed during the Giles County Board of Education's monthly meeting.

Among items on the agenda, board members will discuss Alternative Credit Options, Tire Bids, Coaching Supplements, Disposal of Assets at Southside and Consolidate Application Approval for IDEA/ESEA.

Beard was asked a question earlier this week on why an assistant director was transferred from their position at the central office, which happened a day after she took the new position, and her comment was that it would be explained during the next board meeting.

Other topics to be discussed are Tobacco-Free Schools, Supervisor's reports, Assistant Director's report that includes project updates, and  Director's Report with Personnel Report.

The board meeting is set for 5 p.m., Thursday, July 11th, in the Central Office boardroom.
