The new campus, first unveiled in the summer of 2017, was the latest project in an effort to increase opportunities for students throughout the Volunteer State.

The campus will sit on a 50-acre plot of land south of the city at the intersection of by-pass Route 64 and Route 43.

Construction continues at the site which will house classes provided by Columbia State Community College, the Tennessee Technological University, Middle Tennessee State University and Martin Methodist College.

Classes are expected to begin in the fall of 2020.

Students in Giles and surrounding counties will be able to earn an associate degree from Columbia State, then a bachelor’s in the programs offered by the other institutions participating at the Lawrenceburg education center.
