The Martin Theatre is helping families with disabilities enjoy an outing that many take for granted by hosting a sensory friendly movie.

Sensory Friendly Movies provide a comfortable and accepting environment for families with disabilities where the lights are left on, the sound isn’t as loud and talking is allowed. The patrons are free to move around, even dance if the urge hits them. It is a judgment-free experience for the entire family.

Families will have the opportunity to attend a sensory friendly viewing of “Toy Story 4” at The Martin tomorrow (Tuesday) June 25th, beginning at 7 pm.

Tickets will be at the matinée price of $5 and concessions will be available.

Chrissy Hood, chair of Connecting the Journey: Special Needs Support Group, said this is not the first time The Martin has welcomed our families in for a sensory friendly movie, and we are so thankful they realize these types of community events are crucial for all members of the disability community.
