A strong line of storms over the weekend were to blame for damage to homes and businesses in the region .

In Giles County, several power outages were reported in the area along with numerous trees downed by strong winds.  

Also, several homes and barns throughout the county sustained roof damage.

The storms generated a number of cloud to ground lightning strikes which resulted in some electronic damage to parts of Lawrence County.

No injuries were reported in Giles County due to the storms.
