A brawl at a Piggly Wiggly in North Alabama led to the arrest of a pair on drug charges.

Deputies with the Limestone County Sheriff Department responded to a call Wednesday evening of a fight in progress at the grocery chain’s Elkmont location. Deputies said they located the suspects, later identified as Brandon Mitchell and Kayla Meagher, who appeared to be impaired.

Deputies and members of the Narcotics Unit later searched their vehicle and found 1.3 ounces of methamphetamine, 7 grams of marijuana and a loaded pistol.

Both Mitchell and Meagher were charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
