Nine suspected local drug dealers are now behind bars.

In a statement released by the sheriff's department, the arrests followed an investigation spanning several months and was carried out by the Maury County Sheriff’s Department’s Vice Unit.

The Lawrenceburg Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force worked in unison to round up the nine suspects.

The nine suspects were arrested on a total of 32 indictments.
