Father's Day is not a federal holiday, but it is still an occasion to recognize and celebrate the contribution that your father has made to your life. America will celebrate fathers or father figures this Sunday.

The special day origins may lie in a memorial service held for a large group of men, many of them fathers, who were killed in a mining accident in West Virginia in 1907. It's also thought that the day for dads was  created after Mother's Day was adopted.

Father's Day is celebrated by Americans on the third Sunday of June but in some countries in Europe and Latin America on the 19th of March

Remember your Dad this Sunday.
