A weekend traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Five Points man on multiple charges.  

According to reports from the Giles County Sheriff's Department,  Deputy Dennis Keefer initiated a traffic stop just for light law violation. The driver, 60 year-old William Ray Morrison, was also charged with driving or moving an unregistered vehicle upon highway, Possession of Methamphetamine and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

Morrison is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on June 22nd.  He is being held in jail under bonds totaling $151,750.

Other arrest was Joshua James Tankersley, 23, of Pulaski, charged with domestic assault, interference with emergency call and vandalism.

He is being held in the Giles County jail in lieu of a $3,000 bond.

Court appearance is set June 20.
