A Friday morning chase by Lawrence County authorities ended with two men in the county jail. Officers with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department attempted to stop a vehicle just on Highway 43 South in Leoma for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 39 year old Kyle Donald Davis of Saint Joseph, TN, failed to yield to officers and proceeded south on Highway 43. Deputies, and a unit from the Loretto Police Department, pursued Davis and his passenger, 34 year old Jeremy Frazier of Lawrenceburg, along Old Jackson Highway to Busby Road and then along West Point Road where Davis turned north and proceeded to the Highway 64 intersection. Davis then exited off West Point Road and traveled east on Highway 64 until he lost control of the vehicle and crashed near the Prosser Road intersection. Davis and Frazier were not injured in the crash.

Davis and Frazier were placed into custody without further incident and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Davis is charged one count each of Speeding, Driving While License Revoked, Evading Arrest (Vehicle), Reckless Endangerment, Vandalism, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm,  Possession of a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony, Tampering with Evidence, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Drivers to Exercise Due Care, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Frazier faces one count each of Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia .
