Giles County Executive Melissa Greene has called a Special Session of the Board of Commissioners on June 27th in the County Courtroom of the courthouse.

Purpose of  the 9 a.m. session is budget amendments for Highway, General Fund, and Schools, making appropriations to nonprofit charitable organizations of Giles County  beginning July 1 and ending June 30.

Also to make appropriations for the various funds for departments, institutions, offices and agencies of the county for the year beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 2020.

During the meeting, commissioners will decide on the Tax Levy in Giles County for next fiscal year, approval of surety bonds and animal shelter fees.
