The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct sobriety roadside safety checkpoints during the week of June 28 in Giles County on Highway 31 North at the 14 mile marker.

Troopers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed.

THP reminds everyone that impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16 thousand people and injures three hundred and five thousand others every year in the U.S.
