Two people were killed in a single vehicle crash Friday night near the intersection of Highway 166 and Hanna Road in Prospect.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Ashley Rolin, 21, was driving a Mazda MZ6 on Highway 166 when she veered left off the road and into the grass. The car struck a mailbox and crashed into a bridge rail.
Both Rolin and her passenger, Misty McFann, 28, were killed in the crash.
A four-year-old child who was also in the car was injured and taken to a local hospital.
The child was not strapped into a proper booster seat, only a normal seat belt.
No drugs or alcohol were found to be a factor.
Tennessee Highway Trooper David Hill was the investigating officer.
