Another retail store chain in Pulaski will be closing their doors in July after serving the city and county for several years.

Family Dollar in Village Square Shopping Center have begun closing procedures with 20 percent off storewide discounts throughout the store.  

Family Dollar is operated by Dollar Tree.

A local employee, who is losing her job, said she was hoping to relocate to the Dollar Tree in Pulaski or another Family Dollar store outside the city.  "Losing your job is hard and we will see what happens," she added.

In a press release, Dollar Tree CEO Gary Philbin said he is confident that the company is taking the appropriate steps to reposition their Family Dollar brand for increasing profitability as business initiatives gain traction in the back half of fiscal 2019.

Three-hundred ninety Family Dollar locations will be closed.

Dollar Tree has already closed 84 Family Dollar locations in the last quarter of the year.
