A tractor accident on Pigeon Roost Road this (Wednesday) morning sent Giles County Sheriff's Department and Giles County EMS to the scene.

  According to Brandon Beard of the Giles County Sherriff's Department, Tommy Hyatt,  was cutting hay on his property at 4400 Pigeon Roost Road when his tractor became tangled with   wire.

 "He got off the tractor to free the wire when it jumped back in     gear and ran over his stomach area", Beard added.

  Beard reported county highway workers stopped by the scene   after noticing a tractor going around in circles and found Hyatt    had been run over.

  He was airlifted  to the trauma unit at Vanderbilt Hospital in      serious condition.

  Hyatt is the father of Property Tax Accessor Tommy Hyatt.
