The weather provided a near-perfect high school football setting for Perl-Cohn's trip to Giles County's Sam Davis Stadium Saturday afternoon when the Firebirds topped the Bobcats 49 to 27.

Giles County's John Bachus, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound U-T Martin commitment, completed 5 of 47 passes for 370 yards. He had two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Bobcats who drop to 1 and 1 on the season.

The Richland Raiders also had a tough time in one of the few ballgames played Friday night due to the weather.

The Raiders lost to the Mt. Pleasant Tigers 39 to 12, dropping to 1 and 2 on the season.

The University of Tennessee Vols will face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets tonight at the Mercedes-Benz Dome in Atlanta.
