Columbia Police Department is searching for a missing 17-year-old girl that has connections in Giles County and also Alabama.

Abigail Wisner was last seen by her mother seven days ago wearing a pink shirt, black pants and a pink backpack.

She has brown hair, hazel eyes and weighs 170 pounds according to a statement issued by the police department.

As officers search for Wisner, another teenage girl remains missing in southern Middle Tennessee.

Ashley Clanton was first reported missing in Lawrence County on Jan. 16. She is identified by photographs released by authorities as a Caucasian girl with brown hair and blue eyes and described as 5-foot-1 and weighing approximately 125 pounds.

The police department previously said the teen was believed to be somewhere in Maury County, but there has been no indication for weeks.

Clanton has been placed on a national listing of missing children from the National Center of Exploited and Missing Children.

Twelve children are listed as missing by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, but Clanton does not appear on the list.
