Over the weekend deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to Turnpike Road in reference to a TWRA officer with a suspect in custody who was accused of breaking and entering into a residence on Short Road.

According to reports, the uncle of the homeowner arrived at the residence around 9:00 on Saturday morning and found a male subject, later identified as Jessie Orton, coming out of the garage with boxes.  Orton was told to put the boxes down, but threw the items into his car, before speeding past the uncle and the homeowner.

The two victims followed the vehicle to Burns Bottom road on TWRA property until the vehicle came to a stop in the woods.  A female passenger in the vehicle jumped out and ran while the complainants, held the suspect at gun point until law enforcement could arrive.

Orton was taken into custody and property belonging to the complainant was found inside the vehicle along with syringes with a white milky residue. The female, Breanna Pippen, was later located and taken into custody.  Orton faces charges of aggravated burglary, theft of property over 1 thousand dollars and possession of drug paraphernalia.
