A Murray, Kansas man is facing assault charges after an arrest Thursday by the Giles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputy Dennis Keefer arrested Robert Richard Payne, Jr. 29,  and charged him with aggravated assault.

Payne is being held in the Giles County Jail without bond.

He is to answer charges May 13 at 9 a.m.  in General Sessions Court.
