In the Giles County Tax Assessor’s Office, the Grand Jury's inspection report showed there was a water leak on the south wall, and a floor tile needed repair at the main entrance of the office.

Other items the report noted was that gasoline and gas operated equipment should not be stored in the Courthouse.

Also, the report shows, no cover on overhead lights and tiles were missing in the Tennessee Highway Patrol office, and more fire extinguishers were needed on the lower floor.

The northwest wall in the circuit courtroom has water leaking through the wall and paint is peeling in the circuit courtroom..

The inspection report indicated the Courthouse has been well maintained and its originality has been preserved as much as possible.
