It has been four months since a Lawrenceburg teenager went missing and authorities continue to search for the girl.

Ashley Clanton was first reported missing in Lawrence County on Jan. 16.  The 17-year-old is identified by photographs released by authorities as a Caucasian girl with brown hair and blue eyes. She was described as standing at 5 feet, one inch tall and weighing approximately 125 pounds.

The Columbia Police Department previously said the teen was believed to be somewhere in Maury County, but there has been no indication for weeks.

According to Lieutenant Jeremy Haywood, tips have been called claiming the teenager was seen in Columbia, Giles County and in Alabama.

Clanton has been placed on a list at the National Center of Exploited and Missing Children.

Anyone who may think they have seen the teenager is advised to contact the local authorities, so the report can be investigated as quickly as possible, Haywood said.

Twelve children are listed as missing this year by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Any person within the Giles County area that may assist in this or any other investigation is encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Division of Columbia Police Department at (931) 560-1670.
