The Giles County Sheriff's department are making plans to host a Police Memorial Service to honor not only local but all enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The service will be Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church on 407 South First Street in Pulaski.

During the service, officers that have lost their lives while serving the communities they were sworn to protect will also be honored.

Law officials say the citizens of Giles County and surrounding  areas are safer and enjoy a sense of security because of the brave men and women who wear a badge and gun everyday to work.
